After loooking at this picture we can assume that this is a picture of a girls room. The colorful comforter with flowers is one major indicator of this. The pictures hanging on the wall shows that this student wants to keep these people close to them. They are hung directly above the bed which shows that the student enjoys looking at these pictures. They may be the pictures of family/friends who are important in their life. This is one way that they can keep them close along with the memories they shared with these people. The room seems to be very organized which may show that this student works best when things are put in a certain order. The books on the desk indicate that this student has a lot of classes which may be another reason for the organization.
The picture above shows the room of a male student who lives on campus in Bloomsburg. We can see that this picture is taken in a dorm room. The desk and furniture in the room shows that this is a dorm located on campus. The colors in the room give it away that this is the room of a boy. The comforter is many different shades of blue which is a color usually associated with boys. We can see that this student is somewhat organized. The bed is made but the pillow is just thrown on the side. There are many different things in this photo that we can use to get an idea about this student. The remote control and X-Box controller on the bed are two things that describe this student. This may indicate that this student likes to watch Tv and play video games. These may be the activities that they do in their spare time when they are not working on school work. The books on their desk along with a laptop show that they dedicate some of their time to school work. The posters on the wall show that this student is inspired/likes music. These may be the posters of their favorite bands.
This picture shows a students desk. We can say its a girls desk due to the pink and purple colors. The calendar shows that this person is very organized and likes to write down important events. We can use this to get a deeper look at this student. They may be the type of person who has to see things in order to remember them. We may classify them as a visual learner. There are also a lot of pictures on this desk which shows that this person has many people in their life who they wish to remember and keep close to them. The amount of books on the desk shows that this student has a large work load this semester. This may be the reason for the water bottle on the desk. This water bottle may be there for the student when they are working long hours on homework. The latop is another indicator that this student uses the internet for school work.
What do the data you collect suggest to you about college life? Looking at the time diaries of five different people and the pictures of three different rooms shows a lot about the students at Bloomsburg University. The time diaries show many similarities among the students. Most students wake up between 7:00am-9:00am. It also shows that the average student at Bloomsburg goes to bed between 9:00pm-12:00am. We can also see that may people take time throughout the day to study and do homework. The pictures of the different rooms shows that there is a lot of diversity in the Bloomsburg community. The students who go here were raised in many different ways. These ways are reflected on how they organize and set up their room. Students who grew up learing to be very organized often seem to be the same way when they go to college. These are the students who keep their room very clean and also have an organized desk. Students who grew up learning to be creative often have many creative things throughout their room. They may have pictures or art work on their walls. Overall we can see that the Bloomsburg community is very diverse but also has many things in common.
